February 28, 2001 Dear 48 Rotchild St. P.O.B 277 Rishon Le Zion 75200, ISRAEL, We have just completed your one-day seminar on the wave solder process as well as training on the Wave Solder Optimizer. Your trainer has shown us how to better control our process. He has also instructed our staff on how to utilize the Optimizer to its utmost capability. During the classroom portion of the seminar we went in depth into the critical factors of the wave solder process. Along the way, we identified key elements that would contribute to these factors. We focused on board-wave interactions and the forces that act upon the board as it goes through the wave. While demonstrating the use of the Optimizer on our wave solder machine, we were able to improve our process on the spot by learning how critical the control of dwell time can be. By varying the dwell time on one of our boards we were able to create and eliminate solder defects, specifically icicles and solder bridging. At the same time, we used the Optimizer to verify our machine settings. Your training has brought us to a better understanding of wave soldering as a whole. We are now equipped with a greater knowledge of the Optimizer. We are now positioned to improve our process to greater levels of excellence. It was a pleasure working with Technology Information Corporation. The time spent with you will no doubt prove invaluable. From, |
