Wave Solder Process Control Training

The purpose of this letter is to thank 48 Rotchild St. P.O.B 277 Rishon Le Zion 75200, ISRAEL and its Wave Solder Specialist for the training course that was provided to our staff. Virtually our entire wave solder team participated, comprised of our engineers, supervisors, technicians and operators who are responsible for the boards which go through our 16 wave machines. It was extremely important that the entire training course was conducted in Spanish.

The training provided a strong foundation on how to identify and respond to all the variables in the wave solder process. We saw that the way in which the board passes through the wave directly impacts solder quality results. This training was comprehensive and covered all aspects of the wave solder process, wave machine and chemistry.

An important part of our training focused on the interpretation of Wave Solder Optimizer data, as the Optimizer's experience through our wave machines is the same as that of our boards. This tool lets us see what our PCB's see inside our wave machines.

With effective use of the Optimizer's data, we were able to both predict and eliminate a solder defect on a particular board that has been giving us trouble. This happened as a part of our training, and we are happy to never have to experience this defect again. Also, by doing this we were able to, for the very first time at our facility, define a procedure to diagnose the root cause of wave solder defects, eliminate them and prevent their recurrence.

During this course my staff asked many questions. Their questions were answered thoroughly, and usually with a specific suggestion for positive action to improve our board quality.

I strongly recommend this training course to everyone who is involved with the control of their Wave Solder Process. It has made a big difference for how we handle our wave soldering.

Best regards,
