Dear Sirs,

Thank you for teaching us your unique and highly effective approach to wave solder process control.

Our training class included five operators and one engineer. Their wave solder experience ranged from 6 months to 13 years. I invested in the training to provide my people with a better understanding of the many variables that can arise in our day-to-day process, and how to control these variables. Your training far exceeded my expectations.

Your course covered everything from the basic materials involved in wave soldering to how to utilize our Wave Solder Optimizer more effectively. The interactive nature of your presentation allowed us to absorb a lot more information than some of the typical lecture type classes that we have all attended in the past.

The biggest benefit of our training took place out on the floor. You demonstrated how the Wave Solder Optimizer could pinpoint serious variations in our wave machine. The Wave Solder Optimizer, with its Flux Distribution Window, uncovered a problem with our spray fluxer. I plan on adding this enhancement to our own Optimizer so we can benefit from this important information on a daily basis.

Significantly, you also showed us how our Optimizer data is revealing an uneven main wave. Our operators were able to uncover this by evaluating the immersion depth information as part of the course. The correction of our wave will eliminate some of the bridging issues that we have experienced.

You also recognized that our flux wasn't activating properly and instantly corrected this problem by adjusting our preheat temperatures. You also showed the benefit to our boards of increasing our solder temperature from 480F to 500F.

I highly recommend this course to anyone that does wave soldering!

Sincerely,

Richard Carruth, Quality Engineer
