The purpose of this letter is to describe the positive learning experience of our wave solder staff in your on-site wave solder process presentation. Our engineers, technicians and operators attended the class.

We were very pleased and excited with the presentation and your instructor displayed a remarkable knowledge of the subject matter and our specific issues related to board quality. He was able to identify the root cause of one of our chronic board problems symptomized by recurring skipping on some of our boards. The attempts of our staff to address this issue by modifying our process resulted in another problem related to bridging.

Your instructor, using our Wave Solder Optimizer, made several measurements and recommended changes that eliminate disparallelism and adjusted our solder temperature upwards. These modifications to our board recipe had an immediate and positive effect on board quality.

We enjoyed the learning experience provided by your company and look forward to a long-term reduction of board defects and less rework. This course is a must for anyone responsible for improving overall board quality. I highly recommend it.
