Dear Dino,

Our entire wave solder team would like to say thank you for sending your instructor to our facility in Ireland to conduct a 1-day Reflow Training Workshop followed by the three 3-day Wave Solder Process Training Course. It was a great learning experience for all of us. Daily Optimizer usage can eliminate many recurring production defects.

Your training instructor showed us the absolute importance of controlling parallelism by marking the fingers of one of our wave machines. This simple procedure is an instrumental first step in overall process improvement. Our Optimizer's unique 4-run memory made this task even easier to complete. We can now move on to optimizing dwell times on a board by board basis, which we learned is the most powerful technique in wave soldering.

Many of the voids and insufficients we had been experiencing were assumed to be design defects. Your training instructor used measurements taken with our Optimizer to show us that insufficient solder results on a PCB with a PTH LED was due to incorrect wave solder process parameters and to the finish coating of the terminals of the LED. We were able to make adjustments easily, eliminate the defects right then, and now should never see these defects in our production again. What a relief!

You have a completely satisfied training customer with CEL. Our appreciation goes out to you and your instructor for a job well done. Feel free to have anyone contact me by e-mail as a reference for this tremendous learning experience.

Sincerely,

Enda Moran
